Star Citizen maps and navigation tools
Official and community starmaps, location guides, route planning and travel-time references.
The best map depends on the journey. A lore starmap, local landmark guide, shop finder and route planner answer different questions, so choose the resource that matches the location or route you need.
Map and travel links
RSI ARK Starmap
The official map and lore reference for systems, planets, moons, stations and jump connections.
VerseGuide
Practical location and travel guidance for points of interest, planetary sites and routes.
Starmap.space
An alternative community starmap with a different way to explore systems and locations.
Quantum Travel Calculator
Estimate quantum travel time when comparing routes or deciding whether a distant contract fits the session.
CornerStone Item Finder
Search shops and item locations when the destination matters more than the wider map.
Star Citizen Public Advisory
Check current location warnings and patch risks before crossing into a problem area.
Use the map that matches the question
For system structure and lore, start with ARK. For a specific point of interest or surface location, use VerseGuide. For travel time, use a calculator. For an item or shop, search the item finder rather than opening every landing-zone map.
Plan the whole journey
- Check fuel, quantum fuel, repair state and the ship’s range before accepting a route across several systems or remote areas.
- Identify a sensible place to refuel, store the ship or set regeneration if the trip will take a long time.
- Allow for atmosphere, gravity, hangar travel and the time needed to leave a large landing zone, not only the quantum leg.
- Check current service or advisory information when a gateway, elevator or destination is known to be unreliable.
- Think about the return journey before filling the ship with cargo, mined material or recovered equipment.
Stanton, Pyro and Nyx are different travel problems
A route through Stanton’s familiar station network is not the same as a long exposed trip through Pyro or an interstellar contract into Nyx. Security, fuel access, travel distance and the value of carrying a spare plan all change with the region. A route that is efficient for a fast scout may be a poor choice for a slow cargo ship.
Finding surface locations
Surface travel can include orbital markers, atmosphere, daylight, terrain and a final leg without a convenient quantum marker. Read the location guide before departure and note any nearby landmark that will still be visible if the mission marker disappears. Avoid relying on one screenshot when the planet or interface has changed since it was taken.
Travel time is more than quantum speed
A calculator can estimate the main quantum leg, but hangars, transit systems, atmospheric climb, orbital approach, refuelling and local flight can add much more. For hauling, racing or timed group events, include retrieval and preparation in the plan rather than treating the calculator as the complete journey.
Coordinates and points of interest can move
Community locations are extremely useful, but planet surfaces, mission sites and navigation markers can change. Check the tool’s patch note or update date before treating an old coordinate as exact, and keep enough fuel to recover when a route no longer matches the guide.
Navigation for group play
Share the destination, system and route before the group launches. Agree where to regroup after a disconnect or failed jump, and choose a marker that every crew can recognise. A simple common plan is usually more reliable than each ship following a different community map.
Why does a route take much longer than the calculator suggests?
The estimate may cover quantum travel only. Hangars, atmosphere, orbital approach, refuelling and local flight can add a large amount of time.
Which map should I use first?
Use ARK to understand the universe and VerseGuide for practical locations. Add the item finder when looking for something sold in a shop.
What should I check before an interstellar trip?
Confirm fuel, repair, destination access, jump-point route, safe stopping points and the current status of the service or location.
