The Foundation Festival 2026 referral promotion runs until 12 August 2026 at 20:00 UTC. If the referred account spends at least $40.00 USD in new money on a qualifying starter pack or ship, the recruited account receives the “Ready for Anything” Career Kit after the promotion and the referrer receives an Argo ATLS when the purchase is recognised. Check the official promotion terms before purchasing.
How the standard referral works
Enter the code during account creation whenever possible. RSI currently allows a 24-hour grace period after creation, but support will not add it after that deadline and the linked code cannot later be changed.
- The new account receives 50,000 UEC when it is associated with a referral code.
- The referrer receives a recruitment point after the linked account spends at least $40.00 USD on the Pledge Store and becomes a backer.
- Purchases made with store credit do not count toward the $40.00 USD requirement.
- Receiving gifted pledges does not satisfy the qualifying-spend requirement.

Account creation and the 24-hour limit
The direct enlist link places the code into the account form. Check it before submitting the account. When a code is added during the grace period instead, RSI warns that the 50,000 UEC may take longer to appear in the in-game aUEC total. After the account is linked, the referral cannot be swapped for another code.
Game Package and qualifying spend
The 50,000 UEC account bonus and the referrer’s recruitment point are related but separate. The referral code links the accounts; at least $40.00 USD of qualifying Pledge Store spending is required for the recruit to become a backer and count towards recruitment progress. A Star Citizen Game Package is still required to play outside Free Fly, so do not assume a standalone ship includes game access.
Special referral events
RSI sometimes adds a ship, vehicle, paint or equipment reward during Free Fly and other promotions. During the current Foundation Festival offer, the referrer’s Argo ATLS is granted when the qualifying purchase is recognised, while the recruited account’s Career Kit is granted after the promotion ends. Dates, rewards and delivery timing can differ in future offers.
The current Argo ATLS reward is assigned a value of $0.00 USD, is non-giftable and is limited to one per referrer. Promotional rewards cannot be reclaimed for store credit, so read the event terms before buying solely to qualify.
Before completing a purchase
- Confirm the referral appears on the new RSI account.
- Check that the product is a Game Package when the account needs game access.
- Read the current promotion deadline and qualifying items on the official RSI banner or FAQ.
- Do not use store credit or rely on a gifted pledge when the goal is to satisfy the $40.00 USD referral requirement.
Can a referral code be added after the account is created?
Yes, but only within RSI’s current 24-hour grace period. After that, RSI Support will not add the code.
Can the referral code be changed?
No. Once the account is associated with a referral, the code cannot be replaced.
Does receiving a gifted package qualify the referral?
No. The official FAQ says gifted pledges do not satisfy the $40.00 USD qualifying-spend requirement.
Do I need to spend $40.00 USD to receive the 50,000 UEC referral bonus?
No. The 50,000 UEC bonus is awarded for using a referral code when creating your RSI account or within 24 hours of account creation.
The $40.00 USD requirement is separate. For the new account to count as a qualified recruit towards the referrer’s Referral Program progress, it must have a Star Citizen Game Package and at least $40.00 USD in qualifying Pledge Store purchases. This qualification is also used for special referral incentive events.
During a Free Fly, you can play Star Citizen without purchasing a Game Package. Once the Free Fly ends, a Game Package is required to continue playing.
