Star Citizen stories
Star Citizen stories can make the scale of the universe feel personal. This page is the home of original, unofficial fiction about the people behind the ships: their friendships, choices, discoveries and the dangers they meet beyond familiar space.
Each series is published chapter by chapter. Begin with the introduction below, then follow the chapters in order as the story develops.
Current Star Citizen stories
Darkness Wakes
A long-form expedition story about friendship, fleet life, exploration and survival, with a mystery growing in the dark. The series opens aboard a working fleet before its crew is drawn towards something that should not exist.
How to read new chapters
Open a series from this page and read from its introduction. Chapter links are kept in reading order so the newest instalment does not reveal events before you reach them. Return to the series page for later chapters and any updated reading notes.
Stories are designed to be read at your own pace. Use the chapter titles and numbered order rather than publication dates, and avoid skipping ahead when a synopsis mentions a place or person you have not yet met. A bookmark can help you return to the correct chapter.
Readers who want current game context can also use the Star Citizen information and updates page. It separates live-game information from fiction, helping unfamiliar names, locations and ship roles make more sense without changing the story.
